Conference proceedings are in-scope for EAST retention. However, we recognize that cataloguing practices for conference proceedings can vary across institutions. If the title is a one-off proceeding we ask that you please still consider keeping the EAST commitment. However, if the proceeding is part of a series we ask that it be treated as a serial and that you check to see if the title is retained at the series level by another EAST library. If it is retained elsewhere it is acceptable to remove your EAST commitment. If it is not retained elsewhere and you hold a significant run of the title (50% or higher) we ask that you consider retaining the title as a EAST serial. If you don’t own a significant run of the series or the title is stored in a trusted EAST member print repository (FLARE or the Five Colleges Repository) it is acceptable to remove the EAST commitment.
