Our library did not take part in the collection analysis and does not have an institutional login to GreenGlass. We are interested in weeding based on EAST retention commitments. How can we discover if a title that we own has a retention commitment at another library?

EAST retentions are viewable in OCLC. Consult the View Shared Print retention commitments to see how to search in the various services. Also, there is a  google sheet add-on for checking a list of OCNs, though it does require an OCLC Metadata API key. OCLC cataloging subscribers may request keys at https://platform.worldcat.org/wskey/. Note that at least one library’s holdings are no longer in OCLC, so if you want to make sure you are seeing ALL retentions, it’s best to use Gold Rush as all EAST commitments are viewable in the Gold Rush Library Content Comparison System. Logins are available to EAST members by contacting the EAST Program Team at info@eastlibraries.org.
