In May of 2017, several libraries from across the East and Southeast of the United States joined EAST as 12 Retention Partners and 1 Supporting Partner. These institutions will work through the monograph collection analysis and validation exercise, at the end of which they will commit to retain a portion of their holdings for a period of 15 years in support of EAST’s mission. These activities mirror those of the founding EAST members, which have collectively committed to retain over 6 million items. The EAST Executive Committee and Project Team look forward to working with our new colleagues.
